The West Yorkshire Critical Care Operational Delivery Network is committed to

Guidelines for the Provision of Intensive Care Services - Edition 2 have been launched by ICS and FICM.
Many units have found the standards and recommendations within GPICS invaluable in developing successful business cases to enhance their local services and improve patient care. GPICS has also been used as the benchmark by which local services are peer reviewed and assessed by healthcare regulators, such as the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
The Intensive Care Society has updated the Guidance for the Transfer of Critically Ill Adults and produced guidance for the repatriation of critically ill patients from international hospitals to UK critical care units. Take a look on the Transfer page for the downloads.
NHS England has published the D05 National Service Specification for Adult Critical Care Units. Click for the link.
Step Specialist Competencies for Burns, Advanced Burns & Neuro Adult Critical Care Nurses are now available to download from the Education Forum Page.
West Yorkshire Critical Care Operational Delivery Network are hosting an Afternoon Tea for patients and relatives that have been in Adult Critical Care in West Yorkshire within the last 12 months.
This will take place at The Learning Studio, Piece Hall, Halifax

Application open for the September 2019 Critical Care Course at LTHT
Applications are now being accepted for the September 2019 Adult Critical Care Course at Leeds Teaching Hospital. This course is run in collaboration with Manchester Metropolitan University and the West Yorkshire Critical Care Operational Delivery Network. There are a number of free places allocated to nursing staff working in adult critical care units across the West Yorkshire Network.

Thanks to everyone who completed a Staff Safety Climate & Teamwork Survey, we had had a brilliant response. Together with The Improvement Academy we have now shared the results with your team.
NEW Critical Care Transfer Guidelines & Forms (Version 2)
The revised Inter Hospital Transfer Form is now available and has been distributed to all critical care units and emergency departments. Version 2 now has colour carbonated copies making it easier to identify where to file the copies. (The pink copy should be returned to the Network office for audit purposes). If you need more copies please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Network has also produced an Intra-Hospital Transfer form that can be used for critical care transfers to CT scan or between departments within the same hospital site. This can be downloaded from the link below. There is no need to return a copy of the Intra Hospital Transfer form to the Network. It can be filed in the patient notes.. The Network Transfer guidelines, downloadable version of the Intra Hospital form, nursing handover documentation and date of the next Transfer Training Day can be found by following the link >>>>>
